I was so excited to be a part of two career days this past month. Kim and I arrived bright and early to set up our booth as Interior Designers. We were given 30 minutes for each class to discuss the roles and duties that we fulfill everyday.
We brought along #BenjaminMoore paint samples, tile and backsplash options, prismacoloured markers and floor plans for the students to practice their own designs. We set up a little vignette area that included a Persian rug, rocking chair, floor lamp, plants and a sheep skin throw for texture.
It was amazing to see how involved the kids were and how brilliant their questions were about our business. I am really looking forward to working with some of these bright minds in the future and enjoyed every minute!
